In rewind, the capstan does not move, motor runs. The controls have some noise, may need to be exercised or maybe contact cleaner. Looks complete and in decent appearance condition. Appearance wise, a very nice unit.
Akai GX-722 ii reel to tape recorder, has issues, for parts or repair. This was used in a church and has some demo tape ids over of the controls, see pics. All the controls seem to work as designed except rewind function. I did not try to record any tapes.
The recorder plays tapes through both built in speakers. Now, with just an empty reel it will spin in rewind, but not enough power to rewind a tape.
