The wood panelling case is in excellent condition. Motor seems good and has not had a lot of play. Recording bias frequency 100khz. Works intermittently.

There are rca line in out terminals on the rear panel, and regular mic inputs in front. Well cared for. 000hz at therefore any stereo tape that you play and then turn over to play side 2 will play just fine on this unit.
Weight is lbs din connections back panel. This is a working Akai model 1730d ss reel to reel tape player recorder in very good used condition. So they only use channels 1 2, and play those 2 channels back in stereo.
In other words channels are fine. Wow and flutter wide x 7. Motor one single 2 speed.

The ff Re functions run fast and smooth. Output jacks 4 rca line jacks. The only other mention of note is that one of the hubs is very slightly bent.
S n ratio better than 50 db. Track system 4 track, 4 channel 2 channel stereo. Tape speed and frequency response 30hz to so this will operate just like any stereo reel to reel recorder. When running at fast forward or rewind, you can see that it's just slightly wobbly mic input face panel.
Tapes still sit flat and snug, and attach and detach exactly the way they're supposed to and it does not affect playback at all. It really is not a problem at all. It has great fidelity and it plays and records well as a stereo deck. 12 RMS at max reel size 7 inch.
Power consumption 50 w. But I would not call it a quad unit because quad tapes have sound music etc. Plays and records great. Thanks rca input back panel.
