I just have never tried to actually play or record a tape with it so although everything looks pretty good, including the head assembly, I do not know whether it actually records and plays or not. Buyer pays return shipping. The only problem with it that I know of or that is obvious is that the drive belt or band needs to be tightened or adjusted or replaced whatever it is you do to fix that.
I've had it for years and never did anything with it and now it is time to let it go. All I know about it is that its clean, all the tubes seem to work and all the functions play, rewind, record, etc. Other than that it looks good or at least complete.
Model ep along with an empty take up reel. Seem to work. This listing is for a vintage Webcor regent portable reel to reel tape recorder player.
