For sale here is a collector's example of the 1970's Teac model a 4070g reel to reel tape recorder player in excellent working condition. Specifications track system 4 track, 2 channel, stereo system heads 2 x erase record, 2 x playback motor 2 x reel, 1 x capstan equalization nab tape speeds Ipswich and flutter. The Teac a 4070g is a 2 channel, 4 track tape deck capable of both bi directional recording and playback. 3mv mic semiconductors 32 x transistors, 16 x diodes weight 60 lbs.

Hardly worth mentioning. No dents in the stainless steel brushed front. I am not sure if you can move the feet from the back to the bottom.

There are holes for feet on the bottom but no feet. The rubber feet are currently set up to have the unit sit on its back. Comes with two reels. There are no feet on the bottom.

Level meters light up and work fine UPS frequency response 30hz to 20khz UPS signal to noise ratio 48 35 db input 100mv line,. The unit has be thoroughly tested and works great. There are a couple super minor scratches or veneer splits.

Here is an incredible example. A new belt and a new cam gear installed. Comes with the original instructions manual and a 4070g service manual. Records in stereo.

It employs a three motor mechanism, solenoid operated, with auto reverse in either direction, automatic repeat and continuous play capability. Cosmetically it is in very good to excellent condition. The basic design of the a 4070 is highly similar to that of the a 4070g.
