Unit is sold as-is, for parts or repair. Up for sale is a vintage Lafayette RK-825 two head stereo reel to tape recorder. I've never used the term cute to describe a piece of equipment before, but this thing is.
This thing plays and records okay except the right channel is a little distorted, probably bad coupling capacitor or weak semiconductor, but I don't have time to fix it. Look at all pictures for condition details, and send me a message with any questions, I respond quickly. I cleaned and demagnetized the heads, but that's as far got. This one has had some work done to it in the past, someone added rca type line out jacks and a slide switch shut internal speakers off look at rear panel picture.
Measures 12 wide, 11 tall, and 6 deep, fits where a cassette deck would, but handles 7 reels fine. Rewind and fast-forward are good strong, heads show little wear, so it is worth investing some time into.
