When I removed the screw the dust cover was still in one piece. This system was obviously well cared for and stored correctly over the years.
I'll include the Letterman reel with the purchase if wanted. A vintage Philips portable reel to reel recorder player el this reel to reel came with the Letterman 4 track reel and I was able to test and it did play back nicely.
Super clean condition. Power cord and microphone are also very clean. This is a heavy parcel and a minimum expected shipping charge is 110.

The head will likely need a cleaning. One small foam retainer from the interior of the lid has deteriorated. As for recording, someone has at some point recorded over portions of the music reel and you can plainly conclude this person had the mic plugged in and performed his own sound check which includes a few curse words.
