The tape will have to be replaced as it looks tangled near the of the reel. The case handle and latch are functional and the back latch needs to be repaired, please see pictures. I would guess that this recorder is from the early1960s or earlier. The original plastic reels have been replaced, one is made by scotch and the other by Sony, the Sony plastic reel has a date of 1964, but I am not sure what year this model recorder is.
