Regardless, this is a good looking machine that does work, though not perfectly. Masterwork m 690tr reel to reel this is a very clean unit. The playback speed is inconsistent, causing small pitch variations.
The auto stop mechanism was missing. The previous owner rigged a wire that seemed to scratch the face plate. I removed it and soldered a wire that keeps it in the on position.
