However i'm no expert on these recorders. When I moved the friction wheel beside head, one of reels fed tape to head.
I could not get the push buttons to move, didn't want force them, so it is obviously going take some repair operate. Its visible in the photos. As a display piece it shows very well is.
The photos show condition well and as found. Really nice Norelco transistor reel to tape recorder 1960s the case on this little 10 x 8 The recording mechanism appears to be complete. Its quite heavy for size, almost 7 lbs.
I have not powered up the recorder and its being sold mechanically as is. This recorder has its red plastic handle.
It has its microphone. Doesn't effect the operation of recorder. The largest half is present but other piece missing. Originally there was a two piece small plastic dust cover that covered the entire head and capstan mechanism.
The mike its quite heavy for size and appears to be of good quality. The other reel did not move. This is one of the iconic high quality small recorders made possible by transistor revolution late 1950s and early 1960s.
5 beauty is in great shape, no cracks, chips or deep scratches but just some ordinary light wear. These are often broken or missing. It has a full size mike plug.
