There are a few stains and small rips in the fabric metal hinges, latches corner guards have some surface rust. The red jeweled power indicator lights up as does green cats eye tube when in record mode. It uses a 7 reel which I have one to go with. The other condition issues I am aware of are as follows: unit is missing accompanying microphone, tone potentiate does not move and drive motor want to but struggles.
The outer case has wear consistent with its age. I bought the unit up slowly on a Mauriac and let it sit for couple of hours full power there was no smoke or smell.
With these issues I am unable to test the unit for proper function, please consider it parts or repair. The power cord and plug are in nice shape with no cuts or frays.
