Paper inside states important, this is Brush bk 601 magic ribbon, a greatly improved paper base tape for magnetic recorders. In the case of the bk 401 and bk 403 soundmirror, full benefit can usually be obtained only by making a nominal circuit alteration. In order to have minimum background noise, recordings should always be made at the highest level which the tape can take without introducing distortions.

Unsure if its ever been used, there is a flaw or spot on tape but I unwound a couple times and it does not travel all they way through, after a couple of unwinds it appears good. It is capable of making a very high level recording.
