The battery Box is pristine. The tape recorder and accessories are in great condition. It powers up and makes some sounds.

It also includes a dummy battery which was used in co junction with rechargeable batteries. This is sold as for parts or repair. This is sears reel to portable tape recorder model 6247 and comes its original Box with all accessories except two rechargeable batteries. Accessories include microphone, ear plug, strap, spare bulb, reel and nine other reels of tape.

The only flaw I see is small chip on bottom case and a few marks here there, which you can in photos. The Box is obviously rough, as you can see in photos. This runs off four cell batteries or by ac with included cord and plug stored underneath.
