I hear blank audio when setting to record which is a good sign, but it can't be fully tested without and microphone with 1/8 jack. You can use an ac adapter to power the unit or 4 cell batteries. Its a really neat piece for period and in good condition.

Its a portable reel to tape recorder used for recording audio. It was the type of electronic that would have been good for recording interviews or own monologue before cassette tape players came into existence. The recording function is untested as it needs a microphone. Everything seems to be in working order.
