Cosmetically, this radio is clean without any cracks in the case, no missing knobs or switches, handle still great shape, antenna has survived 40 years with being broken and battery compartment very signs of corrosion from leaking batteries. A humming sound is typically caused by capacitor that's gone bad, but we aren't radio repairmen. As stated previously, the microphone is included, but we haven't tested recording function since don't have a blank tape.

This reel to tape recorder has a small compartment that holds the power cord and microphone which is also included.
