Battery meter works too. One of the two battery compartment covers is missing but can be taped or perhaps a 3D print existing one made as replacement. Vtg 1960s AIWA TP-702 Transistor Reel to Tape Recorder-Player in original box bottom. Smoke-free environment.
A little crackling when adjusting volume but not playing back at one. Remote mic records and can stop/start the reels - a crack in plastic near auxiliary plug. Uses 6 C batteries 3 in each of two battery compartments. Good condition, limited use and in storage for decades.
Grouping in this lot contains 1 original instructions booklet with specifications, 2 recorder device original, attached, black carrying strap and removable plastic reel-to-reel cover, 3 detachable microphone 4 leather storage case, 5 magnetic single earphone, 6 3-inch recording tape on reel, 7 empty take-up reel. AC cord not included. Reels had couple of second-long slow downs but still moving and was exception - a few times only. Tested on batteries and able to record, play back, rewind forward.
