The reverse and fast forward functions work well but unless I am doing something incorrectly do not think direction is working - a reel to expert. Up for offer without reserve is a very nice used vintage Sony tc 770 portable reel to solid state stereo tape recorder with the power cord, rcas, internal battery, and aux rca cable.

I tested the item to my fullest ability - plugged recorder in, powered it on, and directions of reel using various functions reverse, fast forward, different sizes but have not tried actually recording anything.
