Details:

Heads need demagnetizing or my tape is bad reels. The sound coming through pre-amplifier section sounded great also. It also has the last forever ferret and heads so these should be fine for years to come. This is a great machine and I m pretty sure that it will record with one of these addressed.

This machine will play both 7 and 10. The input monitor confirmed sound there as can be heard through amplifier and VI meters showed coming in which was adjustable via line knobs. Unfortunately I only have one very old tape to test on which isn in great shape and quite noisy but it played back well.

Both VI meters work fine in record mode and playback. Sony TC-755A circa 1975 this has updated cosmetics from the non a version. Dirty heads I don't have any alcohol and q tips to clean them.

The main recorder unit is cosmetically pretty clean and straight although wood case does have a few age related marks dings as seen in photos. Sorry but shipping costs are very high I am afraid as this item is heavy. The only problem I had was that couldn get any sound to record on my old tape.

I checked out all functions and appear to be good with one exception.
