It was not used much, as it is in very nice cosmetic and well cared for condition. This upper line Sony is loaded with quality features, auto reverse, sound on sound, back lit peak VI meters, 3 motor, 3 heads, AP's. Very nice quality and well cared for upper line Sony tc 651 reel to reel tape deck, with rare and nice original dust cover, original owners manual.

It is volt wire able by qualified tech. I did notice that brake is not working on the right hand reel so it keeps turning when the stop button is played, just for a second it needs the brake adjusted. I did check it and it needs some calibration cleaning restoration, which is typical for all vintage reel to reel decks.

It is very nice cosmetically, a few very light wear marks on 2 corners of the cabinets. These were known for their excellent sound and performance. The fast forward, play, record, rewind all work.

Good listening, sonny. This is a nice quality reel. I did record and one side recorded better than the other. It has lots and lots of potential.

It has not been used for some time. As mentioned, it will need calibration restoration and possible repair for optimal operation. It has the very rare factory original dust cover, also comes with original owners manual and a quick guide tutorial. I am sure that the controls and heads could use a good cleaning.

I purchased this from the original owner, always in a non smoking climate controlled environment.
