On this one took care of all that so it won't break down any time soon.

Changed capstan belt changed mode counter belt rebuilt pinch roller assemble did full alignment of heads for head height and azimuth both playback record check guide with tape gauge checked cleaned all knobs switches, function, VI meter cleaned lubricated switches de-ox-it took apart fully rebuilt them. Also check meter levels and speed as well adjusted to service manual specs with test equipment tape. This is a fully serviced pioneer Nakamichi rx so you can buy mines that will likely last many years more, or chance it with one of those others and have problems after month, less even. Why take the gamble, especially now even as-is going for more then what they use to finding competent tech be next impossible, very expensive ship back forth wait 6 months, more. Able enjoy out box, without having worry about servicing come. As European voltage differs from 120v - 60hz opposed to 240v 50hz.

I go over the whole machine and rebuilt for better reliability. Pictures speak for itself, so please refer to below.

Also did check and adjusted head height azimuth for both playback record heads pinch roller guide with tape gauge.

Deck testing:bench test for several hours. Will package with care to ensure the item arrives at your destination in advertised condition. Demagnetized and cleaned all heads checked input output.

This is also in the original manufacturer boxes, which rare itself and deck pretty much like new condition. Very little difference between the source and recorded playback sound quality. Shipping: shipping is calculated using FedEx ground. Some will even lie on work preformed, show no pictures as work was never done in the first place to undercut me and others that truly did.

Mines is fully overhauled and pictures speak for themselves. Its been serviced with new capstan belt replaced, also replaced mode and idler tire. I am pretty much a master when it come to theses as serviced well over hundred of them the years and know common issues failure point this model.

Deck responds well within, or close to Nakamichi specifications. You truly going to be very hard pressed find another unit that will preform as well this one and last a while.

Did check and adjusted bias playback land record level by service manual specs.

Machine is in good condition overall and was completely overhauled. During that time all operations including record and playback were verified. Also took transport apart, clean and lubricated whole. Did also clean all switch and pots with exit.

Pretty much this machine is well known for its separate discrete 3 tape heads three motors lower wow and flutter it unique auto reverse as comes out get flipped over, which awesome to watch in action. Most sell as-is, or untested.
