Details:
Rarer rack mount version of the already rare Pioneer rt 2022 reel to reel tape deck. This has been racked since new, never carried around, and is all original. Every function I tested on this deck seemed to work.
Play, fast forward, rewind, tape speed, pause, etc. I also have an rt 707 for sale in a separate offer. Both meters and level adjustments on the tau 11 work, but the adjuster could use either some playing in or some decoys, as it is a little scratchy when in motion.
I had one tape to test this with, and it was a twisty mess, but I managed to find enough flat spot to give it a good run through. Check my other offers for quality vintage sans, DX, Pioneer, and other gear. Includes the integrated rtu 11, and the separate tau 11.
Cosmetically, this unit has some oxidation on the black metal outside on the case, as evidenced in the pictures. This is a nice example of a classic Pioneer unit. One owner since new. Headphone output works, rear outputs verified to work through my amplifier.
I did not test the recording functionality of this deck. It could probably stand to be cleaned, as it Hans't moved in 30 years.
