Teac decided to make this important capability available, but only with the purchase of an add-on accessory unit. It is functionally similar to the teac rc-604, but vastly superior.

The compatible non-a model's include teac 6010, 6010 SL, GLS, 7010, 7010 7030, 7030 SL and GLS. I will do everything humanly possible to make certain that this accessory be safely delivered you. Its great for setting critical record levels, while the machine is paused in mode. It will not work there.

It still works perfectly today, after nearly 45 years of heavy use. And it has never needed any service or repairs.

It is also compatible with the fixed voltage units all a model's have four delectable operating voltage s. This unit works perfectly. And its free.

It provides instant stop and start, with no annoying lag time or tape drift. This important accessory is built to the highest quality standards and guaranteed work perfectly. These machines cannot operate without the correct bypass plug or a pause unit plugged in to connector.

Printed operating instructions are included with the unit. If you own a teac a-6010, a-7010 or this new unit offers huge improvement in capabilities and convenience. The pause function is often needed, but machines do not have a button built-in.

Pause capability was designed into all of the machines listed here, but no button ever provided to allow it work. Warning: do not activate the pause button while machine is in fast wind mode. I know how do it right.

The cable is extremely flexible and it has a Velcro tie-down to keep neat when you don't need use all 17 feet. It works with the teac a-6010, a-6010 SL, GLS, a-7010, a-7010 a-7030, a-7030 SL and GLS model's. Pause was not provided on the optional teac rc-601 or rc-701 Remote controls either.

The first aftermarket Remote pause unit was built to enable function on my teac a-6010 GLS, in tape machines shown photos are only demonstrate how this accessory connects and some of that it will with. Those tape decks do not have the pause din plug on back panel.

The rc-604 used a momentary contact switch that required you to hold button down for as long wanted pause tape. This device can also be used to replace a missing pause dummy plug.
