If you are looking for a cosmetically perfect tape deck, skip onward. This unit uses vintage transistors like 2sb types and sounds nice. Shipping: priority or ground USPS mail. I checked the tape path alignment which was spot on.

I went through an alignment and just a touch up was needed. The rewind and tape counter belts were replaced. Note: due to its extreme vintages, sold as working, as-is.

All in a very satisfying recorder. Includes the reel locks, two original microphones tested - working a take up reel, and of music recorded on this machine. I replaced 2 old leaky wax caps in the power circuitry.

The heads are in excellent shape, showing very low hours. Full brake adjustment performed - brakes are in great condition. 20x16x12 box at 23 lbs. Not bad looking, but cosmetically challenged, with bumps, scrapes what looks like a small melted area and color loss on the record level controls.

The pinch roller and idlers are all in excellent, soft, pliable condition as they should be. Magnavox model K0884 stereo reel to tape deck - circa mid-1960s japan if you are looking for a serviced, fully functional that plays great and makes decent recordings, stop here. On the other hand, i've gone completely through this unit.
