I am not a technician and there are none in my area that will work with reel to reels. Akai GX-4000DS mk ii. Unit is sold as-is due to the above mentioned.

This unit is in excellent condition and all functions work. Play, reverse, stop, forward and pause all working. This is my favorite reel to because of its compact size and performance.

It may very well be something stupid that I can not figure out.
