I don't add excessive handling or materials fees to the shipping costs. Overall, it displays well and is a good looking R2R. I provide clear, quality pictures of the item and strive to accurately represent every sell. This unit has the touch controls and they are all working.

Model GX-286D. The FF, REW, PAUSE, functions are working. The metal reels used in the photos are NOT INCLUDED and for demonstration display only. It powers on and will play tapes in the forward direction sounds good.

Offered here is a fairly hard to find Akai reel. Listing in for GX-286D unit only. The metal reels are NOT included and for demo display only. Cosmetic condition is good.

The flip up head cover is in good shape. The wood grain vinyl material is in overall good shape, but has a few wrinkles on the top near vent. However, when played in reverse, the sound is very, very weak. Sometimes the right channel will play normally in reverse, but it comes and goes.

The silver front panel has a few minor scratches, but nothing too bad. I did NOT test the record function. The counter needs a new belt and does not turn. The heads appear to be in good shape.
