Attention read full vintage Craig 404 reel to reel transistor portable tape recorder rewind works but the forward does not work. The side strap holder pocket flap has been fixed on the case with a bonding agent. Includes original case with handle strap side pocket.
Would be great for a vintage electronic collection display. Long cross body strap. 2 reels 1 full used tape.
It way possibly be the belt drive, but not sure. Could possibly be a quick and easy fix for some one with savvy on old school electronics. I don't believe the unit has ever been opened up, so I kept it that way. Battery compartment is clean undamaged and takes 4 AA batteries.
Otherwise the case is clean and looks good. In the reverse play you can hear audible sound from the tape. The speed control made no difference with reverse but it might only work with forward. All button and hinges are in good functioning condition.
