The deck's outer case is in good condition with a few light scratches, chips, and nicks present.
All reel motor and capstan motor armature contacts and outer bells have been cleaned to ensure proper torque and speed stability.
This machine has been thoroughly tested and is working well. All pots are now working smoothly and quietly. Both playback record heads have had their azimuth properly adjusted.
Forward play, record, fast forward, rewind, pause, and quad sync are working as designed. All that is for sale is what is described above and what is seen in the photos. No tape, reels, nab hub adapters, remote controller, manuals, original carton, or original packaging materials are included in this sale.
The pinch roller's bearing, pinch roller's pivot, the capstan motor's bearings, both reel motors' bearings, and supply guide roller's bearing have been cleaned and lubricated. All of this deck's noisy switches and front panel pots have been cleaned with exit and Craig's Fidel.
This deck plays and records 1/4 inch tape at and inches per second. All tape guides, heads, and tape lifters have been cleaned polished and the heads have been demagnetized. Up for sale is an Akai gx 630dss stereo quadraphonic open reel tape deck.
The heads are in good condition with signs of light wear. The heads' factory height were left intact.
The pinch roller has been treated with regroup to remove any oxidation and or tape resin.
