So all I k now is when you flip the Re. Fwd lever that works fine.. Other than that I don't what else to ad that would help.
It's a nice looking piece of equipment. Physically, there are a few nicks, but they can covered. The sale was Alta very affluent house and they had all good stuff and Wren't hoarders of things that didn't work.
Functionally, I purchased it at an estate sale so I have no history about it. If I had a tape I would try it. If I come across one before the sale ends i'll give it a try. Feel free to contact me with any questions or info, that would be greatly appreciated.
You are buying on a vintage Akai 1731D 4 track stereo tape deck. The light for the gauges works. The tape speed knob changer works fine, when you flip the fwd lever nothing happens, so I don't know if it has to have a tape in it to go or not.
