Well made and very solid. Super nice case with lots of patina. Weighs 3 lb.
Is the manufacturer plate but it does not indicate maker. Vintage mid 1950s tube reel to tape recorder case made in japan. Appears that it has been through a smoke fire no odor but does have Vintage slightly musty smell.
Pretty cool tape recorder case. The original tubes were all Mutsuhito as well most of parts. One of the smallest all tube with power and speaker recorders that I have seen. No physical issues, it is complete and working as should.
Handle and latches are good, four rubber feet on two sides.
