Risk's custom cycle has removed all original hinge and latch hardware, filled, sanded, primed, and painted this case in a smooth satin black finish.
Forward play, reverse play, record, fast forward, and rewind are working as designed.
All of this deck's noisy switches and pots have been cleaned with exit and all are working smoothly and quietly. No manuals, tape, reels, dust cover, remote controller, original carton, or original packaging materials are included in this sale.
The mechanical brakes for both reel tables have been adjusted to achieve the quickest stop possible from forward or reverse. All lamps have been replaced with stock Akai lamps. This Akai plays and records two tracks in each direction with auto reversing during playback only.
The reel motors' and capstan motor's armature contacts have been carefully cleaned to ensure proper torque and speed accuracy. The pinch roller and all belts have been treated with regroup to remove any oxidation and or tape resin. This machine has been thoroughly tested and is working well. The outer case is in excellent condition.
The pinch roller's bearing, pinch roller's pivot, the capstan motor's bearings, reel motors' bearings, tape counter gears, cross field head switching assembly, torque selector cams, program minder's gears, and key points in the brake linkage assembly have been cleaned and lubricated.
Both playback record heads have had their azimuth properly adjusted and the bias head's gap has been brought back to factory spec. A pair of new aftermarket nab hub adapters are included. The heads are in good condition with signs of light wear.
Up for sale is an Akai x 330d open reel tape deck. All that is for sale is what is described above and what is seen in the photos. This deck plays and records 1/4 inch tape at 1/7 8, 3/3 4, 7/1 2 inches per second.
They have also primed and painted all original bezels and grills in a black finish. All tape guides, heads, and tape lifters have been cleaned polished and the heads have been demagnetized.
