I say sort of because the speed was not consistent and rewind didn't work at all. I was able to record myself so know the microphone works but playback distorted because speed isn't right. As you can see from the photos, cosmetically it looks great. This is a 60s reel to tape recorder made in japan.

On the back it says mark t. Despite a little corrosion in the battery compartment when I put batteries it sort of worked. Ships to a us address only. Measures 9 x maybe that's the brand. Inside it has embossed japan this may just be a sticky belt drive from not being used for long time.

Someone who knows the mechanics could probably turn this into a great working novelty item.
