Review SILVERTONE Reel Stereo Tape Recorder Vacuum Tube Plays Well No Hum

I was able to borrow a reel of tape and take-up did confirm that the recorder plays well with good stereo volume tone from vacuum tube components no hum. The second speaker is mounted in detachable cabinet that forms front of case when packed. Unpacked and measuring 17x 12 w 7.

Play, rewind, and fast forward work as expected along with channel selection for each stereo the two tape speed operation UPS. Here is the Silvertone model 2234 reel-reel tape recorder from early 1960'sin very good working condition.

This is a large and heavy machine weighing 32 lbs.

Physically, the tape recorder looks great, no dents or cracks, all knobs in place, and latches work.
