The good news: powers up, fast forwards, rewinds. The bad news: when you attempt to play, capstan does not come up engage. Cabinet is decent, but not perfect as pictured. If this is your sort of thing, the 1730DS certainly seems like a worthy project.
Likely a minor repair or adjustment for the right person but i'm not. Audio output seems okay.
