After turning up the volume a little it is hardly noticeable. Item Brand: Ampex. Item MPN: 09809. Please see pictures as they are part of the.
These machines typically have a little noise from the large rubber idler rollers that turns flywheel and this one is no different. This machine is easy to use. The play, fast forward, pause, speed were checked and they are working as is the meters, lights tape counter. The reels are not included but the reel hold downs.
The capstan shaft has been oiled and it looks good on the inside. Face plate was removed and switches were cleaned with exit fade lube. Ampex AX-50 Reel to tape recorder. Very sturdy and well built.
Belts look good.
